Welcome to Mechanicsburg Sportsmen's Association! Located just five minutes off I-81 (Exit 57) in Pennsylvania's Cumberland County, our private members-only 153 acre facility offers hunting, fishing, recreational shooting, and more!
Since 1949, MSA has offered the community a variety of educational and recreational programs for all ages. Each year, our programs include Pennsylvania Game Commission Hunter-Trapper Education classes, National Rifle Association Basic and Instructor Training, and the National Wild Turkey Federation Women in the Outdoors Program.
In addition to programs for adults, our youth activities include a Children's Fishing Derby, a youth archery program, a Boy Scout program, and a 4-H Shooting Sports program. Many of our programs are open to the public.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
NEW KEY FOB NEEDED FOR CLUB ACCESS
Over the past year, the club has installed a number of new security and access features. With a target date of February 15, 2010, the old swinging gate will be replaced by a new electrically operated gate. Members will be able to open and close the gate without getting out of their vehicle by using a club-issued key fob.
In order to help offset the cost of the new electric gate and security system, it is necessary to charge $10.00 for each key fob. For each member, this is a one-time cost since the same fob can be used as long as membership is maintained. Family memberships may purchase a second fob for an additional $10.00.
The fob will also provide access to the indoor archery/rim-fire range and indoor center-fire pistol range for members who have paid the appropriate access fees.
Fobs must be picked up in person at the club at the dates and times shown below. Please bring your 2010 membership card and $10.00 to obtain your fob.
February 2010—Sunday, 2/7, 2/14, 2/21, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Additional dates and times will be posted as available. To see how the new access works, click here.

Block Shoots
Block Shoots resumed on Monday, January 4, 2010.
See schedule on Block Shoot page.
Outdoor ranges are open from 9:00 am until dusk (1/2 hour before sunset), 7 days a week. Sunset varies throughout the year and is defined in the Pennsylvania Game Commission hunting time table. Although game laws now allow hunting for 1/2 hour PAST sunset, this allowance does not apply to MSA's outdoor range shooting schedule. Check your PGC handbook. You must complete your shooting before the END times posted in the PGC table, minus 22 minutes.
FIREWOOD
As a result of recent timbering on the club grounds, firewood is available with a club permit at a cost of $10 per pickup truck load to club members and to non-members accompanied by a member. No live trees may be taken—only downed trees, cut limbs, and tree tops. Permits will be issued only to members; contact Jerry Coleman (766-2250), Dennis Fillmore (732-6540), or Theresa Burg (796-9366) for a permit and directions to those areas of the club where wood can be harvested.
