Fish Nursery

CO-OPERATIVE TROUT NURSERY

We operate a trout nursery located off Sinclair Road in Mechanicsburg.  Each year we raise 6000 to 7000 trout in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission for stocking in  waters open to the public in the Mechanicsburg area.  We purchase and raise 1200 to 1500 trout each year for stocking in the club pond and for use in our portable pond during the Children’s Fishing Derby, Jubilee Day, and other club functions.  We sponsor an annual Special Needs Fishing Derby, which is enjoyed by residents of area nursing homes.  Club members volunteer their time to feed and care for these fish as well as to conduct the various events.  If you would like to assist, please contact any Officer or Director.
